We are a group of collaborators that innovate science education through teacher education, instructional design, and research. Based out of the College of Education in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, we work with academic institutions, educational organizations, small businesses, and individuals.

About Impact on Science Education
We are a collaborative group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that brings together science educators, researchers, and teachers. Together we work on a wide range of projects, all with the goal of making an impact on science education through teacher education, instructional design, and research.
For teacher education, we partner with scientists and organizations to develop professional development for pre-service and in-service science teachers. We also publish articles featuring hands-on and tested activities in professional magazines and host workshops at national science teaching conferences such as the National Science Teacher’s Association.
For instructional design, we secure grants to design curriculum materials, create outreach opportunities, and develop media such as video, simulations, and games. We collaborate with a core set of dedicated teachers and schools to test and research our curriculum materials during and after development.
For research, we collaborate with science and education researchers to integrate the latest cutting-edge research into our materials. We also publish and present our own research findings. You will be able to view a list of our research publications and presentations soon.
This website serves as an information portal and announcement platform for all our projects.
Let us know if you have a question or are interested in partnering for a new or ongoing project! We are always looking for new opportunities and collaborations.
